(ON) my first day

Hi, could you help me with these doubts I have?

1) Someone wrote" The first day, I xxxxxx". Is it optional to add the preposition ON before??

2) " I would like to go on a horse ride" It does not sound correct to me. But is it?

3) "I would like to play some tennis". Is the word "some" correct in this sentence?

4) " I went to Oxford 3 days". I would add FOR three days. but is the original wrong?

5) "We got all wet". Is this correct? or should he write "We all got wet?"

Thank you.

3) "I would like to play some

I'd like to go riding.
I'd like to go horseback riding.

It must be regional variation, but the original Oxford sentence sounds wrong to me, not just casual.
