I'm wondering whether instead of "he was wearing designer shoes" I can use some other expression, eg. "On his feet he had designer shoes." I'm trying to avoid "wear" because I've already used it twice.
Is it correct to say: "On his feet he had designer shoes"?
Thank you

Yes, that seems OK, but I cannot judge how well it fits stylistically into the greater context.
