On campus? in campus?

Please consider the two sentences below,

"I dream of walking in the campus of Harvard with you by my side."

vs

"I dream of walking on the campus of Harvard with you by my side."

which one of the two is better? thanx ^^

Unless qualified by specific context, you may make it a rule of thumb to use "on" with "campus".

I.e, There will be a career fair on the campus next week.
