On August 3 rd , 2010. I don't know why some don't use ordinal marks when they give the date. After all, it is not "August three" but rather it's "August third".

I don't know why some don't use ordinal marks when they give the date. After all, it is not "August three" but rather it's "August third".

In spite of that logic, this is also correct: On August 3, 2010.

The preposition for date is "on". So, you write it : on August 3 or 3rd, 2010. You don't need to use "full stop(.)", but you use "comma (,)" after mentioning the day and athe month.

Then, preposition for the month and year are "in". For example: in January, in 2010
