On a winter night?
Looking through all my papers, I've found that it's right to say 'on a winter night'. It's known that we must write 'at night'. Here is a question: why? And is 'at a winter night' a mistake?

"At night" is acceptable in the following sentences-
a) We'd go out at night.
b) I usually meditate at night.
