'on a team'?

Hi,
Please have a look at this:

When the interviewer asks "Do you prefer to work independently or on a team?" he or she wants to know if you're a team player or would rather work on your own
=> Is 'on a team' here wrong? I think I usually see people use 'in a team' or 'in team', but I can also find many results for 'on a team' on Google.

Many thanks
