On a schedule

Hi,

If I'm on a schedule, does it mean that I'm in a hurry ?

Does "on a schedule" mean the same as "on schedule"?

Thanks in advance !

"On a schedule" means that you have no time to waste and cannot be flexible; all your time for that day (or week or whatever) is planned for. So, not necessarily in a hurry, but with no time to spare for an unexpected, unplanned-for long chat, impromptu lunch, etc. I hope you'll come see us while you're in the South.

  • I''d love to, but I'll be on a schedule - I don't think I'll have time to stop by Birmingham.
  • Maybe next trip.
