Is there a difference between "on a personal level" and "on the personal level"?

Is either one correct or incorrect?

Which is suitable in the below sentences?

Thank you!

"A" is general while "the" is specific. There is no specific personal level as it is personal. He is a bad teacher, but on a personal level, he is a nice person.
