Omitting

Hello, helpers or experts! Thank you for your kindness and time in advance.

You've been a great help whenever I needed your help. I need your help again.

What do you think is omitted in these sentences? And are these sentences grammatically correct?

Sorry about my so uncreative questions....

1. We tend to believe that we are being noticed by others more than others really are.

2. We tend to believe that we notice being noticed by others more than others really are.

Are these sentences grammatically correct? In my opinion, No.1 sentence is correct and No.2 sentence is OK but awkward, but I'm not a native so cannot be sure.... So I courteously ask for your help.
