Omitted verb

Dear members, I'm new here. I'm an English language learner. First thing I want to ask you is that When should I use comma before as. I'm confused about the usage of as. Could anyone put some light on it? I also want to know when 'as' is 'while and when 'as' is 'becaue'. Thank you in advance.
