Olympic Games

I will not be able to go to Beijing for the Olympic Games. So I don't want to miss it on the TV. All of us in our family are crazy for the event. Therefore, when it came to watching the opening ceremony without any trouble, we all voted for fixing up an IPS in the house just in case there is power outage / cuts which is normal in this country.

Are there any mistakes or rooms for improvement?

I will not be able to go to Beijing for the Olympic Games. So I don't want to miss it on (the - optional) TV.

All of us in our family are crazy for the event. I would use crazy about the event.

Therefore, when it came to watching the opening ceremony without any trouble, - Therefore, to make sure we will be able to watch the opening ceremony

I don't think a potpourri requires many candles. Could it be some special hobby of yours?

Thanks Optilang. But I have got two questions.

1. What is the difference between "crazy for" and "crazy about"?

2. Why do you think "to make sure" structure is more appropriate than "when it came to"? (When I wrote the sentence I had this picture: there was a discussion about the Olympic Games among our family members and when the question of uninterrupted power su
