Old or older?

Hello,

Do you think I am right?

Someone wrote: The kitchen is bigger than the one in the older house.

I would correct him: ....than the one in the old house.

I know both could be correct depending on the context but in this case the insructions were "Write an email to a friend telling him some of the differences between your old home and your new home....

Thank you in advance,

Since your instructions say "your old home" rather than "your older home," better stick with "old."
