Old english lavander

Hi,

I'm translating a text where the name of this after-shave is used. Is there any particular connotation to this after-shave that is common-knowledge among natives?

p.s. The text has to do with homosexuals using this after-shave.

Thank you

Not sure what you're getting at. I'm assuming you've done a search for links with homosexuals. Personally, I'd think "Old English Leather" would be more suspect; but as a representative of the general English-speaking population, I'm unaware of such a link.

  • Perhaps someone who's familiar with the culture will enlighten us.
  • It's certainly not unusual for certain style choices to be associated with a given lifestyle.

There is a link between the colour (lavander) and life-style of gay people, I have found it in some glossaries. Thank you Avangi.
