Old English

Hi, I was wondering would 'westenum' be 'wasteland' or 'wastelands' in Modern English? And would 'wenum' be 'hope' or 'hopes'?
Many thanks!

Well, I'm actually re-constructing some fractured lines in an Old English text, in which the only word is 'westenum' and 'wenum'. As such, I don't really have any context.
