OH BOY!

Dear Teachers,

1. Does "knock it off!" mean "shut up!"?

2. Grace: I like to help people.

Liza: Oh boy! you're so kind.

- These are two girls, but why does Liza say "boy" here?

3. Have you ever ridden on a motorcycle?

- I think "on" is redundant here, right?

4. She's the lead singer in the band.

- " lead singer" here means "only her can sing in the band"?

5. Don't be lonely tonight, we can make it alright.

- What does "we can make it alright" mean here?

Thanks very much to Teachers,

Stevenukd.
