Do you mean the difference between "of 2014" and "from 2014"? It is hard to answer that question in isolation from any context. Roughly what sort of context do you have in mind?

I guess when you say ‘‘from’’ it implies the songs were made in 2013 and ‘‘of’’ only means that they were popular that year.

Am I right?
