offer

There is a sentence in my book:
The travel agent says: " we have a special offer at Ozloo zoo this week". What does offer mean in this sentence? why do we use "at" here?

Top answer

They are offering you something if you visit this week, for example, three tickets for the the price of two, a free hamburger for couples bringing children, a 10% reduction for everybody or free kangaroo rides for all old age pensioners accompanying their parents. We use 'at' because it's a natural preposition to use.
