Off or across

The balls are bouncing off/across the walls.

I am assuming only 'off' would be right, but would like to know whether other words can be used also.

Thank you.

Thanks, Rover. But is 'off' at least correct? I just want to use more prepositions, if possible.

'Off' is correct.

'I threw the ball at the wall and it bounced back.'

'I threw the ball on the floor and it bounced up.'
