Off

Hi.

What does it mean that Seirawan says in Play Winning Chess:

"White sacrifices a Knight in order to draw the Black King off on a mission from which it will never return."

I know the meaning of 'draw' and 'mission'.Just not off.Could you explain it.

Thanks in advance!
