Of whom

Is this sentence grammaticaly correct? Let me first put you in the picture:
My friend asked me to bring her a CV of one of the applicants for a vacancy. I didn't hear the name and asked:
'Of whom?'
Should I rather have asked: 'Whose CV? (you ask me to bring)

Please advice,
Thank you
