Should I use "of" or "from" in the sentence below?

Bob Geldof of/from the Boomtown Rats and Midge Ure of/from Ultravox wrote the song "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in 1984.

I'd use "of" meaning that both of them were members of those pop bands respectively.
