Can one say
a. Of 'got' and 'gotten', I never know which is American and which is British.
b. Of the two of them, I never know which is American and which is British.

c. Of John and Harry, I don't know which is the engineer and which the artist.
d. Of the two of them, I don't know which is the engineer and which the artist.
