'Of' and its uses.

He Everyone,

I'm working on prepositions at the moment, particularly - of.

I would like to get some clarity about the following sentence:

' She is one of many who likes to go dancing.'

Is it correct to say that the use of, 'of' here relates to quantity?

Many thanks
CC. Emotion: it wasnt me

I wouldn't put it that way. This "of" is making a selection from a group or set, like "one of my friends", for instance.
