Grammar

of all the teams

Is this correct and natural or too much repetition?

Of all the teams that could have beaten them, the worst team in the league beat them.

Thanks

Of all the teams that could have beaten them, the worst team in the league beat them . The problem with that sentence is that only the underlined part is meaningful.

Is it incorrect to say '(Out) of all the teams that could have beat us, it was the worst team in the league that did'
or
'(Out) of all the teams that could have beat us, the worst team in the league that beat us'

Why is this wrong?

Don't we say 'Of all the people it could have been at my door, it had to be you'

Isn't it the same thing?

Presumably the the above sentence has some special context that gives "you" a special meaning.
'Of all the teams that could have beaten them' does not appear to have any special meaning.

Canadian,
I am sorry but I don't understand your reasoning.

Could anyone please clarify?

Thanks
