OED 2nd Ed. on CD-ROM, version 3

I paid for it, to have it shipped to Taiwan, about an hour or so of frustration to install it, and it was worth every penny and second spent. Soo much better than version 1.14, which cost twice as much.
I recommend it.

I've got XP Pro and there is quite a bit to curse about, but compared to Win98SE, it is cloud 5 (ie still a long way to go before cloud 9) instead of the fifth circle of ****.

If your school has a Web proxy accessible from outside the campus network, then you can access OED on-line through the proxy. This is what I do for off-campus access to all of the subscription-only content to which my institution has site licenses.

Oy! It's the "Queens Borough Public Library"! (Yep, I checked, unlike CUNY, they consider "Queens Borough" to be two words.)

And here I thought you were a Native by now.
It's sort of weird how a number of public institutions in Queens have that superfluous (based
