Hello everyone,
I am teaching my daughter for English and we bumped into an odd-one-out excercise that even I cannot figure out(I am not a native speaker though)
1. lives watches passes pushes (I guess it is the 'lives' the irregular plural form of life, all the other words are regular plural forms. But it seems a very weak explanation to me )
2. lose chose rose nose (no clue)
3 owner oven open over ( My guess is 'over' but cannot fully justify)
4 opened finished carried cleaned (no clue)
5 leave meat spread seat ( My guess is 'meat' cause it is the one that is only noun while all the other words can be verb and noun too)
I would appreciate your help/response (w explanation)
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Kris
