Odd and even

- you know those movie scenes (such as in "The Core") when the crew has to choose who has to go on a suicidal mission and they pull the straw (the shortest loses)? Well, what do you call it when the chosen method is "odd and even" (ex.: "odd, you lose"), either by using the hands or the dice? Something like: "let's do 'odd and even'", perhaps? Thank you.
