What?
In American English is alwayse used: three am or six pm. How this cannot be possible?

Hi,

What I meant was that you shouldn't say both together, eg 'It's 10 o'clock pm.'

Hi Clive, have a look at: "... In 12 hour time there would not be a 15:00, it would be stated as three o’clock in the afternoon or three o’clock p.m. ..." www.militarytimeclockchart.com rgds, Andreas

Really? I'm American. I didn't know that. The following seems all right to me.

— It happened at 11 o'clock.
— AM or PM?
— PM. 11 o'clock PM.

I live in Canada.
Broadly speaking, no-one says three o'clock p.m.

I'm with Clive. It's surely not forbidden by grammar but unless you have a clarifying question as in CJ's example, you're MUCh more likely to hear 3 pm or 3 o'clock in the afternoon, rather than 3 o'clock pm.
