Occupation

Nowadays, finding occupation become the main concern in modern society. It is sometimes argued that practical experience is more demanding in the labor market than academic skills. I only agree with this idea to a certain extent.

In a competitive world today, practical skills play an important role in looking jobs. To begin with, it is fact that mostly many skills such as survival skill, communication skill or professional working skill which didn’t focus on school but they are vital requirement on working. For example, employers tend to recruit highly qualified employees with working experience. Secondly, academic knowledge is too wide and even many things not related to the lesson. Apparently, if the students only study the theory, they can't understand why they learn it and they usually are trying to learn lessons by rote to pass the exams. Thought, the university does not make sure that candidate for the job. For instance, there is a dramatic increase unemployment rate for masters, bachelors. In short, they learn was just theoretical at university and it didn’t do any help for them in life working.

On the other hand, we can’t deny the necessity of academic skills in university. It is clear that without professional qualification not well paid job. They only are manual working with a low salary. For example, many companies require a bachelor degree from candidates to apply for the job. In other words, if people have more degree, they will have more job opportunities and they earn higher wages than those with lower qualifications. Furthermore, with from 3 to 4 years in university internship well prepare work in the future.

In conclusion, I am convinced that the more important role of social skills is undeniable but theoretical knowledge plays role in human life. I partly agree with the argument.
