Obscene/explicit (of music)

Hello,

Which one would sound more natural in the following sentences?

- If only his music wasn't so obscene/sexually explicit, he'd be a great singer.

- This song's terrible. The lyrics are way too obscene/(sexually) explicit.

Actually, is it normal to use "obscene" in collocation with music, lyrics, song, etc? It sounds okay to me, but something that's obscene is usually rather offensive, and I know for sure that a lot of people don't find these songs offensive at all. I think that "sexually explicit" or just "explicit" would work too.

Thank you.

- This song's terrible. The lyrics are way too obscene/(sexually) explicit. 'Obscene' is offensive; 'sexually explicit' is not necessarily so.
