Objects after "looking forward to"

Hi, all.
Which one of the three following sentences is correct, if all, what's the difference?
1) We're looking forward to him arriving.2) We're looking forward to his arrival.3) We're looking forward to his arriving.
I think 1&2 are CORRECT. What about NO.(3)?

(3) is also correct; it is a formal way of writing (1) (albeit "We're" is informal, so potentially there is a slight mismatch there). In everyday language many people would use (1) instead of (3). (2) is also fine.
