Object contextually clear?

Hi. Is the object of the word "playing" at the end of the sentence is contextually clear to be the "sports" to someone who is reading the following sentence and we don't need to write the word "sports" after the word "playing"? Thank you in advance for your help.

People in this town usually play sports after 4, and I think it is important for them to warm up before playing.

Yes. Or you could just use "...before doing so."
