Object complement???

In Classical Athens, however, we find matriarchal ideas of death in both sculpure and vase painting.

Here, is I'm correct, it is only a transitive pattern. (in both sculture and cave painting) is not an object complement, am I correct??

Same for that sentente ???

In Classical Athens, howver, we find matriahal ideas of death heavily overlaid with notions of agrarian fertility.

Thanks!!!!

Sorry, not much help. " I wish I knew what an "object complement " is! " Is that a complement?

Sorry, not much help.

In both sentences the verb "find" is transitive and the direct object is "ideas."

I wish I knew what an "object complement " is! In both sentences, "of death" is (I believe) a prepositional phrase modifying the direct object, "ideas." Is that a complement? I think in the first example "in both sculpture and vase painting" goes back to modify "ideas" rathe
