Object and subject pronoun

The main difference between subject and object pronoun is the former comes before a verb OR the verb defines it WHILE the latter comes after the verb?

Thanks.

The difference in placement is clear, however, the main difference between the two is the use.

Subject pronouns identify the person doing the action, while (direct) object pronouns identify the receiver of the action.
