Is it a common term in English?
e.g.
1. My cellphone has a number display function.

Well, I know this as CLIP (Calling Line Identity Presentation) function. When the person you are calling has CLIP but you don't want to be recognized, you may have CLIR (Calling Line Identity Restriction). Then your number will not be displayed even if the other person has CLIP.

Well, I know this as CLIP (Calling Line Identity Presentation) function.

When the person you are calling has CLIP but you don't want to be recognized, you may have CLIR (Calling Line Identity Restriction). Then your number will not be displayed even if the other person has CLIP.

Many numbers are displayed on a mobile phone. On mine, the function you require is called «caller display».

I think "caller ID" is the most common term for this in the US.
