Nuance : how do you use it?

nuance.

It is difficult for me do use it correctly even though I looked it up in a dictionary.

It is probably because the word used in my mother tongue is not quite similar to the original meaning. In my language, I may say 'The meaning of this word is different from that.'

Is it correct? and how do you use nuance?
