In my view, the impact of social media in one’s social life may not always be positive. Firstly, because of this type of communication, people lack of face to face meeting which makes them isolate from the real world. They surf the Net whenever they have free time instead of making appointment with their parents or their friends. This is a reason why the types of friendships people make these days are quick and short lasting. In real life friendship, people see each other at one’s best and worst time and remain there for one another. This can never be compared to a social network friendship. Secondly, all relationship via the Internet is an good opportunities for cybercrimes and some security issue. We can’t know about the person you usually getting in touch by social media. A particularly good example here is a study conducted in the USA showing that the numbers of Internet users who are infringe the privacy increasing more than 75% in previous years.

To sum up, modern technological advances in communication have incredibly influenced the way people interact. With some disadvantage given above, people should be careful with remaining relationship in virtual world and to have a real friendship.
