Now that that's taken care of?

Now that that's taken care of - Is it an expression? If yes, can you please rephrase it, so it would be easier to memorize? The only thing I came up with was 'Now, since there is one less problem'.

Context I took it from:
At the meeting the boss was asking questions about some problems the company is facing. It seemed for him that one of the managers was 'the third wheel'. She constantly kept meddling and interrupting others, so he asked her to leave the conference room. When she left, he said: 'Now that that's taken care of, let's pick it up where we left off.'

Now that that's been taken care of, (that has been taken care of = that issue has been handled)

Now that we are done / finished with this item (It has been taken care of), we can go on to other items on the agenda.
