Now or never

Hello every body.

It was now or never if I wanted to motivate my troops.

Does it mean if I couldn't motivate my troops now , I wouldn't do it any other time?

Yes, it means that this is the only (or last) opportunity. There won't be another chance. "now or never" is pretty much a set phrase.
