Grammar

novels which - VS - novels that

Hello,Emotion: smile

Are both sentences right?

( A ) I must say that I haven’t read novels which use complicated English words.
( B ) I must say that I haven't read novels that use complicated English words.

I have always thought that I can use which and that interchangeably in that context. A native English speaker told me that only B is right.

Thank you very much,

I'd say that yes, both can be used, but "that" is better because it is a defining relative pronoun, in a defining relative clause.
