When speaking of the person we find at the counter of a McDonald's (or even of anyone who works there), is any of these nouns appropriate:
a) 'the attendant'
b) 'the clerk'
c) 'the employee'.
For instance:
"The attendant/clerk/employee was apparently in a bad mood, and served us very roughly."
