Nouns

I'd like to when we use:
1) pepper and a pepper;
2) tape and a tape;
3) rubber and a rubber;
4) coffee and a coffee;
5) trade and a trade

We use 'a' when we think of the noun as countable, and no article when we think of it as uncountable. I always put pepper on my fried egg, but never salt.. I need a red pepper and some tomatoes.
