Nouns

Hi

I just want to check something is correct.

Please read the following and write the nouns in the order they appear. Do not include any pronouns. There are 10 altogether then state if they are group, abstract, concrete, or proper

There was a herd of cows crossing the road. After waiting a while, Amy turned off the engine of her new peugeot 306 and got out. The weather was gorgeous, the sun was shining in the brilliant blue sky.

1. herd - group

2. cows. - proper

3. road - concrete

4. while - abstract

5. Amy - proper

6. engine - concrete

7. Peougot 306 - proper

8. weather - concrete

9. sun - concrete

10. sky - concrete

or is it

1. herd of cows - group

2. crossing - abstract

3. road. - concrete

4. while - abstract

5. Amy - proper

and 6 to 10 same as above

Is crossing not a noun then? I wasnt sure if I should used the 5 from the top or the 5 from the bottom.

No,Crossing is not a noun there.It's a phrasal adjective for cows.
