Noun or pronoun?

Hi! I'm an English enthusiastic from Brazil. I had a test a week ago, and there is an answer that I can't completely understand. Can someone please tell me the right answer?

In the sentence "I love weddings! I can't wait for the next one!" The word ONE is a pronoun or a noun?

Your question should be 'Is the word "one" a pronoun or a noun?'

It's a pronoun.

I've always seen it listed with pronouns. That's what I would call it.

In your sentence it takes the place of the noun 'wedding'.
