noun clause in apposition

Hi everyone,
I'm new user here. Can someone help me about apposition, please?
I understand that apposition is used to define a nearby noun in a sentence. E.g.: Nicotine is found in tobacco. It's dangerous for lungs. --> Nicotine, found in tobacco, is dangerous for lungs.

What should I do if the noun clauses I want to define is more than one?
Example: Psychology is a science. It studies the mind and how it works. It helps us to understand human and animal behavior.

Please explain to me how it works. Thank you very much in advance.
Sorry for my bad English.
