Is it correct to refer to 'mass' (a religious cult among many christians) as a 'ceremony'?



For instance, if you don't want to repeat the same word twice, would it be correct to say:


"When you go to mass, are you able to stay attentive for the whole ceremony?"

Mass can also be called a liturgy or service. "Cult" is the wrong word.

Only Catholicism and closely related denominations (Anglicans) celebrate mass.
