Nothing is so indecent that

Hello...

Nothing is so indecent that it cannot be said to another person if the proper words are used to convey it.

Does it mean, "Even if someone did something very indecent, we can still say to other people if the
proper words were used to describe what that someone did"?

Top answer

Even if something (or some subject) is very indecent, we can still mention/describe it to other people if we choose the proper words.

Thanks GPY!!

This is a little vague to me...
Could you explain a little further?
Is my understanding and your explanations totally different?
Or is your explanation added to my understanding?

.... Here, does it refer to nothing?

Then, even if something is indecent, the words that were used in that indecent thing can be carefully chosen?

You've posted quite a few examples with the same formula. Maybe the following is what you are looking for.

"Nothing is so X that it cannot Y"

"Anything can Y no matter how X it is.

I tried to adapt your words as closely as possible, but I'm not completely sure to what extent my wording means the same as what you intended. If/When you can understand my wording, you should be able to judge.

I'm a non-native.
If I can't understand an English sentence with two or more negatives in it, I try to reverse it into a positive statement to see it from that perspective. It usually helps to understand the opposite meaning.

GPYNot the words that were used "in that indecent thing", but the words used to talk about the indecent thing or subject.
After reading your explanations, I could understand a lot better, but still some vagueness remained...
That was this part.... This is what I have been looking for....
Now, the question is all solved...
Thanks so much, GPY!!

I see... I see....

Yes, this was the formula I had been looking for...
The structure had been vague to me....
I needed some confirmation...

At first, I had some vagueness only on the structure...
But later, on top of that, I got stuck on what the "it" refers to in "to convey it", which was solved through explanations given by GPY...

Now it's so clear....
