Not-yet, ever

Hi everybody,

#1 I have done it yet.

#2 I have ever tried it.

#1 is incorrect because always in a present pariciple sentence ending in 'yet' must contains 'not'

#2 is incorrect because always in a present participle sentece containg 'ever' must contain 'not'

(I haven't done it yet, I haven't ever tried it)

Is my explanation correct?

Thank you

Your results are correct, but I don't agree with your description of these sentences.
They're both in present perfect tense, but the participle used in the perfect tenses is the past participle.

The past participle is used in both the present perfect tense and the past perfect tense.

Yes I have written 'present participle sentence' instead of 'present perfect sentence' and also 'contains' instead of 'contain'. Thanks for correcting the mistakes.

Thanks very much for your precious time and help, Clive, Avangi
