Not sure how to write an essay its about the pros of the electoral college please give advice

Hello, I'm a 36 year old 1st year college student that had a learning disability in H.S. I'm supposed to write a 3 page essay plus citation page and cover page about why the USA should keep the electoral college. No clue how to write a report, what a cite page is, and I just learned how to double space. I'm not even sure what to put as the title and sub title... what is a subtitle? I'm so confused… please help!!! Side note this subject has nothing to do with my BUS102 class smh
