Not sure how to phrase sentence...

Hallo,

I am making a bulletpoint presentation for an essay.

The First point (or sentence):

1. Susan Atkins was incarcerated for nearly forty years, the longest any woman has been imprisoned in the state of California

The second:

2. She has eighteen parole hearings throughout her prison sentence.

Are both sentences correct?

Thank You!
